KE ARAH MEMBINA MAHASISWA DAN MAHASISWI ZIKIR

Anjuran mahasiswa dan mahasiswi sukarelawan di atas kerjasama Bahagian Konseling, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Pusat Dakwah Islamiah, Brunei.

Dakwah ilmu dianjurkan khas buat anak-anak tempatan yang belajar di universiti luar negera yang sedang balik bercuti. Dakwah ilmu diadakan untuk membimbing dan membantu mereka supaya akan tetap ingat kepada Allah dan membantu mereka supaya lebih berkeyakinan tinggi.

Konsep Dakwah ilmu ini juga sesuai dengan konsep Negara kita iaitu konsep Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB). Konsep MIB mencerminkan jati diri anak-anak Brunei dan dengan mempraktikkan konsep ini, ianya akan membantu anak-anak Brunei supaya tidak lupa diri ketika berada di negera orang.

Objektif/Tujuan nya adalah:

1. Untuk menyahut titah Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang diPertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam untuk membina generasi muda di negara ini yang berilmu, beriman, bertaqwa dan juga sebagai generasi zikir.

2. Memanfaatkan keberkatan bulan Ramadhan di sepanjang cuti persekolahan bagi pelajar-pelajar di luar negeri.

3. Mengemukakan permasalahan yang dihadapi di luar negara sebagai contoh menentukan arah kiblat, cara-cara bersuci dan lain-lain.

4. Mengeratkan lagi silaturrahim sesama mahasiswa dan mahasiswi yang lain dan juga supaya dapat berkongsi pengalaman yang mereka ada.

5. Mendekatkan mahasiswa dan mahasiswi dengan kegiatan berkebajikan dan juga membantu mereka seperti menghalusi fardhu Ain: cara bersembahyang, bertadarus, membaca tahlil, bergotong-royong, membersihkan kubur dan qiyam al-lail di bulan Ramadhan.

6. Untuk melahirkan generasi pelapis “role model” yang beriman, bertakwa, beramal, berdisiplin, berwibawa dan bertatatusila.

7. Juga untuk menguatkan jiwa dan rohani mahasiswa dan mahasiswi supaya tidak terpengaruh dengan perkara yang sia-sia seperti melepak, masalah social seperti penyalah gunaan dadah dan sebagainya.

I watched this Movie last night with Mirul, Hakim, Naff & Sally. And it was worthed it :D It was an action+comedy movie, super hilarious! Im still hanged from the last night laugh though LOL! It's 10/10!

A farewell and appreciation reception was held recently for the former head of the Culture and Education Section of the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam, Mr Akira Sato.

Mr Akira Sato, who has served the embassy in Brunei for two years and is now leaving for another posting abroad, is known among his colleagues and friends as a dedicated, committed, kind and diligent man.

Also present at the reception was Second Secretary, Mr Akira Ichioka; Brunei Association of Japan Alumni President, Dr Chin Yam Chin; Deputy Principal of Maktab Duli, Pg Hjh Mashayu Pg Hj Yusof; Japanese Embassy staff and former Monbukagakusho scholarship students who have studied in Japan.

Carl Benz School Representative Talks About Mechanical Engineering

Dr Birgitta Kappes of the Carl Benz School in a group photo with Maktab Duli's Deputy Principal and higher education advisers.
Maktab Duli recently hosted a presentation on mechanical engineering as a course of study by the Director of the Student Office of the Carl Benz School of Engineering under the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany, Dr Birgitta Kappes.

Currently there are 14 Bruneian students pursuing their education there and this is the fourth consecutive year that the institution has provided a personal briefing to potential students in the Sultanate.

The briefing was attended by potential students from schools and colleges, higher education counsellors, careers guidance officers, as well as advisers from the Science College, PTE Meragang and Maktab Duli.

Two former Maktab Duli students who are currently studying at the Carl Benz School, Kevin Loh and Siti Hafizah Hj Tengah, have both begun their final year of study and are expected to complete their course later this year. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

Finally, Avril Lavigne is back with her new album, 'Goodbye Lullaby'.

This album is different from any album that she'd done before, Goodbye Lullaby consists of all break up songs.

This is Avril as we've never seen her before. Of the angsty, coltish teen, or the bratty pop princess, there is hardly a trace. Taking her marriage to, and later divorce from, fellow rocker Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 as her inspiration, "Lullaby" finds Lavigne firmly in introspective mode, exploring all her contradictory emotions with surprising candor and sensitivity.
